As if the look of the plant is not enough, you will get a kick out of the movement of the leaves throughout the day and night. Direct light is a no-no, medium light is best, but they also do well in lower light. In its natural habitat, this plant is often shaded by taller plants\/trees.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWater Requirements: Moderate\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaranta plants like to be consistently moist (not wet). If the plant dries out too much, then it can result in pests. I like to give these plants a bit of water frequently, as opposed to drenching them and allowing them to dry out. \u003cbr\u003eImportant: These plants tend to be sensitive to water with chemicals and minerals. Tap water may cause these plants to get brown tips. If possible, water your plant with rain water, filtered water or water that has been standing for at least 24 hours. It is also important to water them with room temperature water. Try not to get water on their leaves as this can result in fungal issues.
